In collaboration with the New Jersey Historical Society, Rutgers-Newark and the Gilder Lehrman Institute, the Newark Public Schools opened History High School, a small high school with high academic standards, in September 2006. The Schumann Fund grant helped to fund the Historical Society’s staff investment in this effort.
