The Salvation Army’s GrandFamilies program provides specialized educational, mental and emotional support group services as well as outreach and advocacy to custodial grandparents and other kinship guardians raising children other than their own. The program currently serves 480 GrandFamilies with approximately 1,000 children in Essex County. The Schumann Fund provides operating support.
